आषाढ म्हणजे काय ?
या महिन्यात पौर्णिमा तिथीच्या जवळ पूर्वाषाढा किंवा उत्तराषाढा नक्षत्र असते म्हणून या महिन्यास "आषाढ" असे दिलेले आहे
या महिन्याला शुचि असे ही म्हंटलं जाते.
जाणून घेऊ गुरू पौर्णिमेविषयी
हा बौद्ध सण आहे.
दिवशी तथागत भगवान बुद्धांनी 5 भिख्खूंना पहिला धर्माचा उपदेश दिला .ती पौर्णिमा आज गुरुपौर्णिमेच्या नावाने ओळखली जाते .
समबोधी प्राप्ती नंतर तथागत बुद्धांनी सर्वप्रथम धर्म उपदेश सारनाथ येते भिख्खूंना दिला.
सर्व प्रथम धर्म उपदेश मिळालेले पाच भिक्खू.
1) कौण्डिण्य
2) वप्प
3)भद्दीय
4)अस्सजि
5) महानाम
समबोधी प्राप्ती नंतर तथागत बुद्धांनी सर्वप्रथम धर्म उपदेश सारनाथ येते वरील भिख्खूंना दिला आहे.
या दिवशी या पौर्णिमेला तथागत भगवान गौतम बुद्ध यांनी जगास प्रज्ञा, शील,करुणा यांचे शिक्षण दिले . या दिवशी विहारात जाऊन त्यांना वंदन केले जाते.
या दिवसापासून वर्षावास सुरू होतो.
वर्षावास म्हणजे काय :
पावसाळा या ऋतू मध्ये सर्व भिक्खू विहारात राहतात. या काळात जेष्ठ भिक्खू हे ध्यान साधना करणे व तथागत गौतम बुद्ध यांची शिकवण सर्वाना देतात .
या काळात धम्म पठण व अध्ययन केले जात असत.
तसेच धम्म शिकवणे, जे उपासक आहेत त्यांच्या कडून अष्ट पुरस्काराचे धम्म दान स्वीकारणे व जे बाकीचे ऋतू आहेत त्या मध्ये धम्म प्रचार करणे.
उपासक विहारात जावून भिख्खूंना आनंद भावनेने भोजनदान करतात आणि धम्म श्रवण करतात.
प्रथम वर्षावास तथागत गौतम बुद्ध यांनी सारनाथ येथील इसिपटन या ठिकाणी इ. स. पू.५२७ मध्ये केला होता.
काही वर्ष्या नंतर म्हणचे ४५ वर्ष्या नंतर वर्षावास जेतावन येथे केला.

This is a Buddhist festival. During the day, Tathagata Lord Buddha preached the first Dharma to 5 bhikkhus.
That full moon is today known as Gurupournima.
After attaining Sambodhi, the Tathagata Buddha first preached Dharma Sarnath to the monks.
The first five monks to receive religious instruction.
1) Condensation 2) Vapp 3) Gentle 4) Assaji 5) Mahanam
After attaining Sambodhi, the Tathagata Buddha first gave the Dharma Upadesh Sarnath Yete to the above bhikkhus. The five monks are known as the Five Monks On this full moon day, Tathagata Lord Gautam Buddha taught the world wisdom, virtue and compassion. On this day they are worshiped by going to the monastery. The rainy season starts from this day.
What is Rainfall:
During this rainy season, all the monks stay in the monastery. During this period, senior monks teach meditation and the teachings of Tathagata Gautama Buddha. During this period Dhamma was recited and studied. Also teaching Dhamma, accepting Dhamma donations of Ashta Puraskar from those who are worshipers and propagating Dhamma in the rest of the seasons. Worshipers go to the monastery and happily donate food to the monks and listen to the Dhamma. Tathagata Gautam in the first rainy season.
Buddha visited Isipatan in Sarnath. C. It was done in 527 BC. A few years later, after 45 years, Varshavas did at Jetavan.
Guru Shishya Tradition:
Guru Shishya tradition is in our country India today. Even in Thailand, Myanmar and Sri Lanka, the Guru Shishya tradition is still practiced today. On this Guru Purnima day, on this Purnima, I salute the Guru who benefited me.
